About Augusta National Golf Club Augusta National Golf Club is home to what many view as the world's greatest golf course so it is rather fitting that the course, which admittedly has seen many changes throughout its history, was originally designed by the illustrious duo of the world's greatest golfer at the time, Bobby Jones, as well as the game's preeminent course architect, Dr Alister MacKenzie.
Frequently asked questions about The Masters How do you get tickets for the Masters ? How much are Masters Tickets for ?
When can you apply for Masters Tickets ? What golf courses can you play near Augusta? Where should I stay for The Masters ?
Can you take your phone in to The Masters? Can you bring your own chair to the Masters? We started off by heading from our base in Myrtle Beach and checked in to the Double tree Columbia where we received a lovely welcome and the hotel and rooms were superb.
We decided to drive to Columbia Country club where we had a game the next day just to see the course and the staff in the shop were so welcoming and accommodating and invited us to do a bit of chipping and putting and to help ourselves to balls on the practice range.
The next day we arrived and a friend, Clive who had booked a trip with YGT without golf included was able to join us and we had a wonderful game and everyone we met was so friendly and chatty and we ended up chatting for half an hour with the club president who recommended a great fish restaurant in Columbia.
Finally the day at the Masters was so wonderful seeing those holes we were so familiar with and we walked the entire course in order and absolutely everything was perfection personified with food and drink on the course a refreshingly normal, or even cheap cost.
We were just open mouthed at everything we witnessed and all in all it was a wonderful experience and worth every penny we paid for it. Thank you Thomas for everything and I am sorry if I have gone on a bit with my review but it was such a great 'bucket list' experience shared with my wife and my oldest friend John who I have known since we were being pushed around in parks together!
I will be back the year after next in Also since I booked their trip, you were always there to answer queries in which I had many.
In particular we would draw your attention to the helpfulness and patience of Callum Bruce who dealt with numerous queries we had in a very professional, friendly and cheerful manner.
It was good to meet him at the Founders Club at Augusta and thank him personally. You will be pleased to know that we have already recommended Your Golf Travel to some friends and hope that will lead to further business in the future.
You kept us informed at all times with your emails. When we reached the US and picked up the car it was roomy enough to get all the gear in the boot.
I think that anything smaller than an intermediate would not have enabled us to get everything in the boot. On arriving at the Hotel Indigo in Athens at midnight we were greeted warmly by the staff there and check in was very easy.
Our stay there was very enjoyable and the breakfast was great with all the staff being very friendly and helpful. A great choice of Hotel by YGT.
We were treated very well there and especially by a young lady petite with black hair , unfortunately I did not get her name. However she gave us our merchandise voucher and gave us information on the hospitality provided.
On Sunday we took the bus in and the YGT guy in charge at the Hotel desk got everyone on board in a timely manner.
Later that day when we left the golf course after a very enjoyable experience we enjoyed the Hospitality provided and enjoyed good food and drink.
All the people there were very helpful and that made it more enjoyable. Callum was the person I met and I think he was the one who got us all back on the bus for the return journey to Athens.
The holiday contained two rounds of golf and the courses were in very good condition, especially the Georgia Club. All in all we were very impressed with the holiday and the attention to detail by YGT.
We would have no hesitation in recommending YGT for their golf holidays. Our hotel was superb and the staff couldn't do enough for us.
The car we got surpassed all expectations. The event tent fed and watered us on the day leaving no stone unturned to meet our healthy appetites after a long day on the course.
The golf courses you chose for us to play were fantastic, full credit to YGT and I will be strongly recommending you.
Well, it was better than that, it was awesome! The course is immaculate we never saw a weed! Our hotel arrangements were good and their shuttle arrangements perfect.
YGT's Arena feature made a superb start and end to each day, anchoring the very good advice and service at the venue.
We were even given charged debit cards with enough to buy a souvenir or two, even the coveted Masters Chairs. A bucket list trip, retirement trip or simply a trip indulging myself going Augusta was a big deal for me.
Would it be worth the expense, would it live upto my expectations and would I really appreciate it all went through my mind.
It turned out to probably be one of the best trips of my life. The organisation of the trip was good, the YGT staff at the course were excellent, the hotel in Columbia was fine and my hire car great as well.
I spent 5 nights in Columbia with trips to Augusta on Wednesday and Thursday. It was better than I'd hoped, more impressive than I imagined, more undulating and simply more than I'd expected.
Would I recommend YGT to anyone? Would I recommend The Masters trip to anyone? I can't describe the feeling on the course, the friendliness of the staff on the course and the sheer quality of Augusta - it was superb!
The fact that we have already booked with YGT to return in should speak volumes! Try to find accommodation as close to the course as you can and get there by 7.
Hotel was lovely, Athens was buzzing on a night time and the food was great! The golf and The Masters were just out of this world, I was star struck by the whole place and the YGT staff were all very welcoming!
Cracking week! See it all When we had any request it was dealt with promptly and professionally. I would recommend to future customers. I would like you to pass on a huge thank you to all the staff from YGT who were on site in Augusta, my parents can be hard work, however, your staff were absolutely fantastic looking after them.
Had a fabulous time at Augusta. I have travelled with Your Golf Travel before and will do again! They always provide a fast and friendly service.
Thanks to the team for another great golf break. Our booking was handled very professionally and efficiently by YGT at this end and the YGT Staff over in Augusta were, again, very welcoming and efficient.
